<itunes:summary>Located about 45 minutes north of downtown Memphis, True Life Church in Munford/Atoka, Tennessee is a small, contemporary yet conservative Southern Baptist congregation with a heart for serving Christ. After years of bouncing between living rooms and local community centers, True Life now has a permanent home with a bright blue roof right on Highway 51. During this time, God has used this small group of followers to change the lives of countless individuals and has helped rebuild and grow families through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel. Now that same teaching and preaching has found a whole new life here after years of collecting dust in our sanctuary sound booth. It is our hope that the lively, engaging, and often humorous teachings of Pastor Mark Ham blesses and changes your life as much as it has ours.

Fear

<itunes:author>True Life Church: Mark Ham Audio</itunes:author>

1 out of 10 people have some kind of phobia, or an irrational fear of something. Fear is perhaps our greatest enemy. It holds us in slavery, it binds us in captivity preventing us from doing what God has called us to do. It discourages us and brings us down. God did not intend for us to live in fear, but to have a spirit of hope. This message explains how we can overcome those fears and live in peace and hope.

13 Reasons People Doubt Their Salvation

<itunes:author>True Life Church: Mark Ham Audio</itunes:author>

Every day Pastor Mark Ham encounters people who have a false understanding of Christianity. Many church goers mistakenly believe that they have always been a Christian, simply because they were born that way or because they were raised in a Christian home. True Christians often have doubts about their salvation because of something that happens in their life that causes them to question whether their encounter with Christ was real. The key difference between the two is the personal encounter with Christ and how you responded to Him. In this lesson, Pastor Mark explores 13 causes of doubt about salvation and explains how to nail down where you stand with God.

Passion Week is always a very, very special time for True Life Church. This Sunday marks the beginning of Passion week and Pastor Mark encourages us to stop and reflect on the life of Christ. Almost every detail about the birth, life, and death of Christ was foretold generations prior to his birth. In this Sunday's message, Pastor Mark reviews not only the final week of Christ, but also the prophesies that foretold the life and death of Christ.

Mercy

<itunes:author>True Life Church: Mark Ham Audio</itunes:author>

Why didn't God just kill Adam and Eve when they ate the forbidden fruit? When David fell into adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband killed, why did God allow him to live, let alone remain King of Israel? One simple answer: mercy. Mercy, by definition, is not getting something we deserve and is too often confused with leniency. To learn the difference, download and listen to Pastor Mark's March 22, 2009 message on mercy.

Do You Wish to Get Well?

<itunes:author>True Life Church: Mark Ham Audio</itunes:author>

John 5 tells us the story of how Jesus healed the crippled man at the pool of Bethesda. Before doing so, he asks the man, "do you wish to get well?" What an odd question to ask a man who hasn't walked in 38 years! To us, the answer would be obvious. Yet, when we ask ourselves that very question, most of us, in spite of our obvious handicaps and sins, say no. We too often associate wellness with our physical state. Christ knew, however what kind of healing the man needed. Pastor Mark delivers a powerful message on being made well.

We all worship something whether we know it or not. Pastor Mark Ham asks what you have put before God. If anything comes before God, then that IS your God. Taken from the first book of Samuel in his Sunday, January 18, 2009 sermon.

In lesson number two in a rare series of sermons, Brother Mark tackles the difficult subject of death that, sadly, is on the hearts and minds of a troubling number of teens and adults who believe the lie that death is the end. Whether you're a teen who thinks that you are worthless and the world has no hope for you or an adult who feels your life is over, don't believe the lies of this world - there is everlasting hope and peace, and this message will tell you where to find it.

Titled sermons are a rarity for Pastor Mark, let alone a series of them, but this and the ones that follow are some powerful exceptions. The first in what has become known as his "I" series, Pastor Mark explains why God places boundaries around us and authority above us. A must-hear lesson for teens and parents alike!

Evidences of Salvation

<itunes:author>True Life Church: Mark Ham Audio</itunes:author>

If you were put on trial for professing Christianity, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Most polls and census figures show that a majority of America still professes to be Christian, yet when you look at the lives of those same people and ask them what they believe, their actions and beliefs show little to no evidence of Christ in their lives. Most are even church members! So how do you tell when someone is a true Christian? How can you be sure of your own salvation? In one of his all-time best messages, Pastor Mark lays out the evidences of a truly saved believer.
